CLARRIE & CHRIS - BIRMINGHAM - OCTOBER 2014
It's no secret that I love the autumn months. One of my favourite things about autumn is the quality of light. During autumn, the position of the sun changes which alters how we see colour and light. On a clear day, autumn shines a golden light with long, beautiful shadows...

SUE, BARRY & A LITTLE SERENDIPITY - A TEA PARTY WEDDING & DAVID AUSTIN ROSES - JULY 2014
Although I spend a lot of time marketing and promoting myself, the majority of my bookings come from the very kind referrals and recommendations I receive from previous clients or lovely wedding guests I've met along the way.....

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS : HOW TO ACHIEVE A LIGHT, SOFT, PASTEL LOOK
Ever since I picked up my first DSLR and began my photography journey, I have been drawn towards images with a light, airy style. I love pastel colours and subtle contrast. Achieving this look has required a bit of trial and error over the years, and can still prove challenging to get just right...

BECCI & RICH - TONE DALE HOUSE - APRIL 2014
My absolute favourite part of working as a wedding photographer is creating the Photo Story. This music slideshow of images is always really well received by my couples and has become a really important part of my creative process.
Usually when I'm shooting a wedding there will come point when a song will pop into my head and I'll decide to use it there and then. For me, the music and photos go hand in hand, each enhancing the other. Once the editing and post-processing is complete, I'll choose around 60 images that I feel best tell the story of the wedding day and usually arrange them chronologically, but sometimes I'll jiggle the order a little to create a certain mood or feeling.
My first Photo Story of 2014 was made for Becci & Rich who recently married at Tone Dale House, Taunton. I had such fun making their Photo Story, it's guaranteed to raise a smile!
